Telia has made exclusive agreements with premium TV service and content provider HBO in the Baltics. In Estonia and Lithuania, HBO programs will be available through Telia, while customers in Latvia can enjoy the shows through partners LMT and Lattelecom.
HBO will offer viewers in the Baltics its vast library of award-winning premium programming, while new content will premiere day-and-date with the US.
“HBO will enrich Telia’s TV service with its premium original shows. Our customers will be able to enjoy numerous world class TV series, movies and documentaries, for a total viewing time of more than 1,300 hours,” says Birjo Kiik, Multimedia Content Manager at Telia in Estonia.
“As a result of a very successful collaboration with Telia, we are happy to offer our huge portfolio of library and brand-new HBO titles to the many fans of top end TV programming,” says Hervé Payan, CEO HBO Europe.
In Estonia and Lithuania, the HBO programming is available exclusively through Telia since August 21, while in Latvia HBO will be available via cable and IPTV from September 1 through the exclusive partners LMT and Lattelecom, both companies partly owned by Telia.
“I am really happy that our TV customers in the Baltics will now also be able to watch HBO content. It is a great example of how we work closely with our customers and follow their behavior to develop attractive content that is easy to reach via our TV services,” says Margareta Törnblad, acting Head of TV & Media at Telia GSO.
