Polish IT company Comarch and Dutch telco operator KPN are extending their partnership with a five-year agreement focused on software as a service (SaaS) and innovation.

The expanded cooperation will allow Comarch to help KPN improve internal and external data quality and streamline revenue operations. Comarch’s service will help KPN reduce the number of complaints from customers, get invoices paid faster, and lower “revenue at risk” from contested bills and undercharging.

Comarch

Comarch and KPN began collaboration in 2008, when the Polish company was contracted to support KPN’s subsidiary, Sympac. With the “Future Sympac Architecture” in place, the companies then began to work together on key strategic projects such as VaMo (Vast Mobiel—fixed mobile) and KPN EEN LCE. In 2019, Comarch was selected to provide a billing solution for KPN's Business Market. Over the years, Comarch has helped KPN significantly reduce operating costs, rationalize IT infrastructure, enhance customer satisfaction, and increase revenues.

Comarch provides KPN with BSS products for billing, customer management, and telco expense management. These products streamline billing processes by consolidating multiple services into a unified platform that ensures not only accuracy and efficiency but also optimization and control over expenses through advanced tracking, reporting, and analysis tools. Additionally, Comarch solutions enable smoother operations and fewer errors, facilitating efficient management of corporate accounts and services by end users. This is made possible thanks to an advanced system backend, data storage, and analysis that help KPN make informed decisions based on real-time insights. From the customer’s perspective, Comarch and KPN are collaborating to develop expense management as an application that puts users in full control of spending and services. This translates directly into greater customer satisfaction and will ultimately become part of Comarch’s offer for new and existing customers. Finally, the two companies will work on integration and communication between various enterprise applications to promote interoperability and efficiency.

Furthermore, Comarch supplies KPN with a full suite of maintenance, support, managed services, hosting, assurance, and IT security services to ensure all products and services are tailored to meet KPN’s needs and help them reach their business goals.
KPN will continue to use Comarch software as a service solutions with end-to-end support, ensuring optimal functioning and high security of IT systems.

Edwin Beverdam, Domain Director Service and Billing a.i. at KPN, said: “Comarch has played a key role in supporting us in achieving our strategic growth goals and reducing operational expenses. Software is a key component of our operations. Their continued commitment to quality, security, and reliability translates into our ability to satisfy our customers. We value our partnership with Comarch and look forward to the next five years of growth, improvement, and innovation.”

Joanna Słowińska, Key Account Director for KPN and Board Member of Comarch BV in the Netherlands, said: “This new agreement marks a big step forward in the partnership between Comarch and KPN. We're excited to continue to support KPN in the achievement of their strategic objectives.”
