Basic Poker Rules

Poker is a pretty straightforward game and you can play a game with ease if you know when to call for which action. Once the cards are dealt, players are asked to act upon their turn moving clockwise. The players can take the following actions when called upon:

Check: You can call for this action to decline the opportunity for opening the bet. This passes the act of opening a bet to the next person in the hand. In case all the players involved in the game check, the round is considered over.

Bet- players can bet if other players have not bet during the current round.

Fold- players can fold if they want to forfeit their cards. You generally call fold if you cannot win during the current hand.

Call- a player can call to match the highest bet placed.

Raise- players can raise when others have bet during a round. This needs the raising player to match with the highest bet. The remaining players are asked to raise it re-raise

Omaha Hi Lo Rules

Omaha hi lo rules are perhaps among the more complicated ones but once you get a grip of these rules, you can master the game in no time. It is a community game and thus can be played with 2 to 10 people. The basic Omaha hi lo rules are:

  • The one with the highest hand splits the pot with the player having the lowest qualifying hand.
  • Players should use two hole cards along with three from the board in order to make the highest and lowest hands.
  • Cards speak
  • The raise limit per round is three.
  • Ace plays both low and high

There is always a high hand winner, but not always a low hand one. For a player’s hand to qualify as low, he must have five dominations less than or equal to an eight. Since this game involves some bluffing, make sure you make your gameplay strong when it comes to bluffs. Finally, the most important one among the Omaha hi lo rules is to pay very close attention to your cards when playing. This can make or break your game

Blackjack Rules

Blackjack is an essentially easy game but for beginners, it can be a bit difficult to understand all the fuss around making 21. Thus, we have included the basic rules of blackjack that can help you win some quick money in the next play. Whether you are playing with your friends or online, the basic rules remain the same. However, in the case of the latter, make sure you are well-read about the signs and symbols on the website.

For beginners, the rules of blackjack might take a little bit of time.

The aim of the game is to beat the dealer by getting a hand closest to 21 but not over it. A standard deck of 52 cards is shuffled. Once the players are dealt with their initial cards, they have a choice between asking for another card from the dealer or declining the option. If you have a hand very close to 21, you can decline a card to avoid risk for once you have the card, you cannot reject it. But if you already have a very low hand, you can ask for a card in an attempt to make a 21.

Texas Hold’em Rules

Texas Hold’em is a variation of poker but with certain changes. Two hole cards are dealt face down to each player and later five community cards are dealt. These community cards are dealt face up and in three stages (3 cards + 1 card + 1 card format).

The objective of a player here is to make the best 5 hands from among the 7 cards. Just like poker, players can choose to check, call, fold or raise. After each dealing, rounds of betting take place. This is when you should make your choice of betting. The one who has the best hand throughout the rounds wins the pot and emerges as a winner.

Card games are great entertainment, especially when you have company. It may be a bit complicated in the beginning but once you go through a match or two, you will get the hang of it. Be it Omaha hi lo rules or Texas Hold ‘em rules, they are utterly easy. And since card games are a variation of the same thing, you can learn the rules of a few and play many.
