TechEnabler, a Brazilian network solutions provider with multidisciplinary experience in the telecommunications and IT markets, and Corero Network Security, experts in protection against denial of service threats (DDoS), announce a partnership with Forte Telecom, a wholesale operator that provides services in 10 Brazilian states, serving around six million users in their homes and offices through the internet providers that are its customers.
With geographically redundant fiber optic routes and connected to the fastest network connection points in the world, Forte provides its customers with low latency access links and guaranteed bandwidth, with ring topology, delivering the highest standards of Industry SLA.
Forte was looking for a robust anti-DDoS solution to provide fully reliable and available services to avoid Internet connection interruptions, protecting both its network and that of its customers against financial losses and reputational damage.
TechEnabler implemented the Corero SmartWall ONE platform for Forte Telecom, which identifies malicious traffic and blocks attacks before they penetrate the network. With Corero SmartWall ONE, detection and mitigation are carried out inline, in real time, preventing possible attacks and their impacts.

The system protects customers from any DDoS attack without affecting legitimate traffic.”
In addition to implementing the Corero platform, in datapath , which provides in-line protection for Forte’s IP links for strategic end customers, TechEnabler also offers cloud protection to serve Forte’s customers who need to defend inbound traffic against DDoS attacks via through devices deployed in its Scrubbing Centers . In these centers, NTD (Network Threat Detection) detectors analyze incoming traffic samples. When it identifies an attack, the Corero SmartWall ONE platform instructs the router to redirect traffic to an NTD for inspection and cleaning, filtering out malicious packets and allowing only clean traffic to return to the router and enter the network.
