
Ericsson will participate in Africa Tech Festival 2025, taking place from 11 to 13 November 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa to build resilient digital economies and inclusive societies.
At the event, Ericsson will focus on engaging key stakeholders, industry leaders, government representatives and media through thought leadership and strategic dialogue. The company will use the platform to exchange insights on Africa’s evolving connectivity landscape and explore how innovation and collaboration can drive digital inclusion and sustainable growth.

As part of Ericsson’s participation, Majda Lahlou Kassi, Vice President and Head of Ericsson West and Southern Africa will deliver a keynote on the first day of the festival within the events’ Connectivity and Infrastructure track. Ericsson will also participate in panel discussions around the role of strategic partnerships to develop equitable connectivity across Africa.
According to the June 2025 Ericsson Mobility Report, 5G subscriptions in Sub-Saharan Africa are projected to surge from 11 million in 2024 to 400 million by 2030, highlighting the region’s rapid digital transformation. Ericsson’s participation in Africa Tech Festival reaffirms its commitment to advancing Africa’s digital future.
