AT&T’s global wireless network now supports the world’s first smart, connected walking cane: CAN Go™, by CAN Mobilities. The collaboration between CAN Mobilities and AT&T expands the accessibility of this innovative smart cane to the benefit of many Americans who have difficulty walking, their caregivers, and their loved ones.

The CAN Go™ Smart Cane, which was just named one of TIME’s 2023 Best Inventions, provides much more than traditional mobility assistance. It allows users, family members and caregivers to stay connected in the event assistance is needed. It can also help to allay the safety concerns shared by those with mobility limitations and their loved ones and caregivers. Benefits include:
Ergonomic design to improve safety for users
Fall detection functionality with GPS
Built-in phone for emergency calls – no need to carry other devices
High-quality speakers and embedded microphone so users can hear and be heard
Embedded flashlight
“We wanted to make it as easy as possible for all who need to use a walking cane to stay in touch with their caregivers and loved ones at home and on the go, without the need for a separate calling device,” said Ahmad AlGhazi, CEO of CAN Mobilities. “We expect our collaboration with AT&T will empower users of CAN Go™ with reliable wireless connectivity to help improve their safety and connection to loved ones in the event of an emergency or when in need of human connection.”
