Taiwan Excellence showcase, brings together the best in class technology coming from Taiwan
With an aim to display innovative trends in ICT and communications technology, Taiwan Excellence has showcased some of its new products and solutions, coming from Taiwan – at the recently held Convergence India 2018 in New Delhi.
At the Taiwan Excellence pavilion – there were a number of products that were unveiled such as – the BenQ ScreenBar e-reading lamp, which was also launched at the event, along with Avision A4 Black & White Laser MFP AM30A Series, Edimax EdiGreen AirBox Indoor Air Quality Monitoring Solutions AI-2002W, etc.
Speaking about this unique initiative called Taiwan Excellence, Mario Tsai, Deputy Executive Director of Strategic Marketing Department, TAITRA said, “Taiwan has been supporting the Government of India in various innovative initiatives such as Make in India, Digital India and Skill India. This is the second time that we are participating at Convergence India. Taiwan Excellence initiative was started way back in the year 1993 and all the products and companies showcased here carry a unique stamp of our Research & Development, Design and Quality. So this time, we bring 20 Taiwanese companies with 64 products. Many of these showcased products are focused towards the burgeoning IoT space. By participating in Convergence India 2018, we wished to share our expertise in the field of ICT with other Indian as well as global companies. We look forward to working closely with many Indian companies and together realize great opportunities,” he explained.
Wen-Lu Ni, General Manager, AIFA, said, “We have been doing the universal remote for many years now. We think that IoT will play a major role in this technology. We are putting lot of innovation in our ability to design the MICOM on the remote and wifi remote control box. Everybody has smartphones today and with our technology, they can control home appliances, such as AC, TV, satellite receiver etc with the help of smartphone only. We are very proud to be associated with Taiwan Excellence.”
Claire Sung, Business Development Director, Avision Inc. explained, “We are operating in the market for over 26 years now. We are also the OEM manufacturer for a number of national and international brands. We are introducing this innovative scanner with OCR technology in India. This means that with our product, we can do ‘text recognition’. We are also targeting the government and the enterprise market to offer specific solutions for their needs. We are looking forward to growing our business opportunity here in India.”
Among its advanced and award-winning products showcased during the recently held Convergence India 2018 were MSI, a brand that is known for delivering unique gaming experience; ASUS, a household name in India for laptops; and Plustek, known for its world-class quality scanners.
The innovation showcase also featured other prominent brands such as Gigabyte, company supplies some of the most trusted motherboards, graphics cards, and computer notebooks; Thermaltake, D-Link Corporation, Aifa Technology Corp, Silicon Power Computer; Communications Inc etc.
