XConnect, a provider of numbering and interconnect solutions, has expanded its global numbering intelligence with mobile number portability (MNP) data for Peru and Kazakhstan.

The addition of these countries adds to the reach of XConnect’s MNP Query Lookup service and enables its customers to deliver voice and messaging traffic with accuracy, precision and performance. This enables reduced termination costs, improved delivery assurance and enhanced customer experience.

Over 100 countries have implemented MNP. In many countries, over 40% of numbers have been ported. Therefore, knowing whether a number has been ported is a key enabler for advanced traffic routing and delivery solutions for Voice calling, SMS messaging, Rich Communication Services (RCS), Voice over LTE, Application-to-Person (A2P) messaging and the communications services of the future.

“There are nearly 40 million mobile subscribers in Peru and more than 26 million in Kazakhstan. Managing the sheer volume of numbering data and ensuring the delivery of calls and messages to right subscriber can be time and resource intensive. XConnect’s global numbering intelligence makes it simple to route traffic to the right user every time,” said Tim Ward, SVP, Number Information Services at XConnect. “We enable customers to rapidly expand their data sets and enhance the quality of their data so that they can gain a competitive edge and deliver optimised user experiences.”

XConnect’s MNP Query Lookup service offers a high-value alternative to the traditional Home Location Register Lookup (HLR Lookup).HLR Lookup services often lack global coverage and suffer from variable service quality as well as slow response times. MNP Query Lookup provides real-time responses combined with global coverage and continually cleansed and updated data.

“We’re continually reviewing, refining and cleaning our numbering data to ensure that it is accurate and up to date for our customers,” added Ward. “This process is continuous, and the outcome is highly accurate data that enables customers to route traffic with confidence, while lowering costs and increasing end user satisfaction. Adding new countries to our database enables us to extend our reach and provide far-reaching data to our customers. We’ll continue to expand our geographies into the future.”

XConnect maintains the world’s largest number intelligence database, available via direct download or real-time, ultra-low latency number lookup queries. It provides access to more than 3 million records of numbering data spanning more than 35 countries via its number portability service, while its global number range (GNR) data covers 11,000 operators in 233 countries. Its database response times are typically 1-2 milliseconds, enabling customers to quickly make precise decisions about how to manage their traffic.

XConnect delivers carrier-grade services to over 200 operators globally, including MNOs, business messaging (A2P) hubs, aggregators, carrier and interconnect providers. Its number portability service is utilised by some of the largest mobile network operators and carriers in the world.
