Vodafone India, one of India’s leading telecom service providers has launched its 2G and 3G services in Changlang in Arunachal Pradesh.
With the launch of its 3G services, Vodafone customers will now be able to experience a whole new world of faster, smarter & better network connectivity and mobile internet experience.
Announcing the expansion of network in Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh, Alok Verma, Business Head – Assam & North East, Vodafone India said,

We are now fully equipped to provide our valued customers superior connectivity and service experience through our Superfast 3G offering in the area. We are also the first private telecom operator to launch services in Changlang and with this expansion; now cover more than 70% percent of the population in Assam & North East. Our objective is to be the preferred telecom service provider in Assam & North East Circle and be seen as a Company that provides value. As part of this endeavour, we will continue to further ramp up our network to provide seamless and uninterrupted service experience to our customers.”
As part of the launch, Vodafone has also introduced a ‘3G Experience Card’ free of cost for customers to experience faster, smarter and better speeds and superior connectivity of Vodafone 3G services. This is a one-time experience card which offers free 30 MB 3G data. 3G Experience Card comes with validity of one day, and is available at all leading Vodafone Stores, Mini stores and multi brand retail outlets across the region.
Vodafone has been rolling out its own 3G network in a phased manner across Assam & North East Circle. In addition to Changlang, it has also recently announced the launch of its own 3G services in Jorhat & Guwahati in Assam, Itanagar, Bomdila, Tawang, Along, Basar, Bhalukpong, Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh and Kohima & Dimapur in Nagaland.
In Assam & North East Circle, Vodafone operates in seven states spanning across more than 17300 approximately towns and villages diverse in landscape, culture and language. With over 4800 cell sites, more than 69,000 distribution touch points and with over 310 retail touch points for customer service in the circle; Vodafone has a robust network and retail presence. Together this distribution network caters to overall subscriber base of 4.7 million in Assam & North East Circle.
