Vivo is a Chinese brand but over the past many years, it is able to create its own very special place in India’s smartphone turf. Today, the brand is known for regularly coming out with quality-oriented and stylish smartphones for the Indian market.
With the help of its channel friendly policies and continuous innovations – it is able to create a massive offline presence across the length and breadth of India. And now Vivo is eyeing the online space with its first “online focused” device, the new Vivo Z1 Pro, which is being sold at Flipkart.
With the introduction of this device, the company is targeting to catch the eyeballs of Gen Z buyers who always look for stylish devices that compliment their personal style statement. Keeping this in mind, Vivo Z1 Pro promises great set of cameras, powerful processing capability, wonderful battery, and ample power to enable customers play games. We used this device extensively while on a work trip to Singapore.
Vivo Z1 Pro design language
Vivo Z1 Pro has a perfectly sized screen with a hole in the upper left corner for the front camera. This device carries an eye-catching glossy plastic rear panel with a multi-coloured gradient finish that is just about right to give you that much needed style quotient in your life. The handset looks classy as well as fairly decent at the same time.

When it comes to processor power - Vivo Z1 Pro is the first phone in India which comes packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor. This chip features six 1.7GHz Kryo 360 Silver cores perfectly synced for efficiency and two 2.3GHz Kryo 360 Gold cores specifically placed for power. All this is ideally crafted to enable seamless multi-tasking capabilities.
With this device, customers have a choice of three variants – the 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage (INR 14,990), 6GB of RAM with 64GB of storage (INR 16,990), and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage (INR 17,990). Vivo Z1 Pro comes with a whopping 5000mAh battery power and the device is also supporting Vivo's very own Dual Engine Fast Charging.
Vivo Z1 Pro runs Funtouch OS, a modified UI for Android 9. Funtouch OS comes with a game enhancement that Vivo is calling Game Mode.
Vivo Z1 Pro performance, battery life, and cameras
We can surely confirm that Vivo Z1 Pro's display is very sharp and we reviewed this extensively while moving around various parts of Singapore. The screen delivers great viewing angles. Additionally, you can adjust the colour temperature and there's a system-wide dark mode as well.
We used this device for a bunch of multi-tasking activities including heavy usage gaming, using Maps with GPS, taking pictures / videos etc and owing to its great battery power, we were able to easily use it for over one day and a half.
When it comes to camera specifications and performance, the device comes with triple rear camera module which consists of a main 16-megapixel camera with an f/1.78 aperture, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The device also comes with front camera on the which has a 32-megapixel sensor.
While reviewing this device, we are quite impressed with the picture quality and color combination that Vivo Z1 Pro has delivered – during the day time as well as in the night environment. Natural colors are nicely coming out and there is a fair amount of detail that is being driven in the pictures.
Final Verdict
After having firmly entrenched itself in the India’s smartphone landscape - Vivo seems to very well understand the needs of Indian customers and that how it is able to deliver exactly what the customers look for in an interesting price range. The company has done a great job with the Z1 Pro.
