Thailand's dtac TriNet has begun testing LTE network infrastructure being provided by Ericsson. In a statement from dtac, Panya Vechbanyongratana, Senior Vice President, Network Operations Division, Total Access Communication PLC or dtac led the technology group to drive test 4G LTE on 2100 MHz, which is under development by dtac TriNet and will be commercially launched in the near future.
The test was performed in the inner Bangkok areas, such as Rama IV, Phyathai, Sutthisan, and Ratchadapisek and will eventually cover all areas to ensure network performance meets the international standards. The testing includes data download and upload speed, voice call quality, and a seamless handover between the 4G LTE and TriNet networks.
The 4G LTE drive test achieved an exceptional result and met all the standards. dtac will continue to improve the network quality to ensure that customers will receive the best 4G experience at the time of the commercial launch.
