Telstra customers are set to access Australia’s newest sports streaming service Kayo by adding it to their home broadband or post-paid mobile account.
Telstra is the exclusive telco partner for Kayo which offers thousands of hours of non-stop sporting action from the world’s best sports broadcasters including FOX SPORTS Australia, ESPN, beIN SPORTS and Redbull – including every international cricket match in Australia live this summer.
Michael Ackland, Group Executive, Telstra Consumer & Small Business said customers want the freedom to customise their telco experience with the best entertainment and the latest connected technologies that are right for them.
“Our customers are passionate about their sports and already stream up to 40 million minutes of AFL, NRL, Netball and A-League action in a single weekend. The introduction of Kayo through our partnership with Foxtel gives customers even more choice to add-on the best sports content to enjoy at home on Telstra TV or on the go using Australia’s best mobile network.”
Kayo provides more than 50 Australian and international sports instantly streamed including cricket, Aussie rules, rugby league, European Football, motorsport, basketball, and tennis.
Julian Ogrin, Kayo Sports CEO, said: “With the biggest Aussie sports and best from overseas plus game changing features, Kayo will provide a sports streaming experience like no other. Our partnership with Telstra will deliver Kayo into more homes, and into the hands of more sports loving fans. We can’t wait for them to try it.”
Kayo comes with game-changing features to enhance the viewing experience. Kayo ‘Key Moments’ lets viewers ditch the filler, and watch selected game highlights from every wicket, try, or wipe-out. With Kayo’s ‘No Spoilers’ function, fans who have missed a match can have pre-game peace of mind by switching off the scores and jumping in to watch the action as if it were live.
“Last month as part of our T22 strategy we changed the way we offer mobile and home broadband plans to make it simple for customers to add the technologies and entertainment they want to their base plan. In line with this, Post-Paid mobile and home broadband customers can add Kayo to their Telstra accounts via Telstra.com or from the Kayo app on Telstra TV.”
Telstra customers will be able to watch Kayo at home using a dedicated app that will launch on Telstra TV today.
Kayo is available as a no lock-in monthly subscription starting from $25 per month. Customers can sign up for a 14 day free trial.
