Telekom Malaysia Berhad and BDB Land Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Darulaman Reality) have inked a Service Agreement for the deployment and provision of Telekom Malaysia’s high speed broadband (HSBB) services to the new phases of BDB Land residential developments in Jitra, Kedah, Malaysia.
As part of this partnership, TM will be providing HSBB services to the latest phases of Darulaman Perdana, Bandar Darulaman and Darulaman Utama development projects which comprise 736 residential units by BDB Land, a Kedah State GLC property development company under BDB Groups.
Noor Lela Baba, State General Manager, TM Kedah & Perlis and Mohd Asri Othman, Head of TM Enterprise, TM Kedah & Perlis signed the Service Agreement on behalf of TM while BDB Land was represented by its Managing Director, Dato’ Izham Yusoff and Dato’ Abdul Rahman Ibrahim, Director of BDB Land. Present to witness the ceremony was YB Dato' Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, Menteri Besar of Kedah.
Commenting on the collaboration, Noor Lela said, “We are excited that BDB Land has chosen TM as its partner in empowering its latest development projects. This collaboration not only reflects our support towards the development of BDB Land township, but further reiterate our commitment in bringing high speed broadband connectivity to more citizens of Kedah.”

Under this collaboration, house buyers of BDB Land’s latest development phases will be able to enjoy TM’s 5Mbps UniFi service or 4Mbps Streamyx service for FREE up to two (2) years. Therefore, the residents and owners will be able to utilise digital applications riding on HSBB infrastructure which will enhance their Internet experience, in line with the Smart Home concept. This is the first collaboration in Kedah where TM provides high speed broadband services in addition to the network infrastructure to new residential developments, where residents will be able to enjoy all the facilities upon moving in.
“The partnership with BDB today will pave the way for higher broadband penetration in Kedah in line with the state government’s aspiration as well as creating a society with a converged lifestyle that remain connected,” concluded Noor Lela.
UniFi is offered as a triple-play services comprising high speed internet, TM’s Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service HyppTV and voice, with speeds from 5Mbps up to 20Mbps via fiber technology (Fiber-to-the-Home or “FTTH”).
