Tanzanian wireless internet service provider UhuruOne has selected Alepo to provide a complete solution for its prepaid Wi-Fi business. With Alepo’s Wi-Fi solution, UhuruOne will be able to effectively deliver, monetize, and manage an expansive network of Wi-Fi services across Tanzania.
Alepo, a global provider of network and IT software solutions for global communications service providers, has announced a new partnership with UhuruOne, a major internet service provider in Tanzania, to support the growth and evolution of the ISP’s prepaid Wi-Fi services in Tanzania.
As part of the agreement, UhuruOne will deploy a complete Alepo Wi-Fi solution, including AAA infrastructure, real-time Wi-Fi charging and policy control, prepaid voucher management, partner management, and more. With this solution, UhuruOne will be able to extend the most innovative and attractive prepaid Wi-Fi offers to its subscriber base, ensuring a real-time, zero-leakage experience that benefits both the end user and service provider. What’s more, UhuruOne will be able to more easily manage its expanse of electronic prepaid vouchers, resellers, and partners across Tanzania.
“UhuruOne is in a time of exciting growth and transformation as we strengthen our prepaid Wi-Fi business,” said Mihayo Wilmore, Chief Executive Officer at UhuruOne. He added, “In this effort, we have the utmost confidence in Alepo as a technology provider with the proven expertise and solutions needed to deliver scalable Wi-Fi infrastructure that drives revenue and business success.”
For over a decade, Alepo’s Carrier Wi-Fi solutions have enabled global internet service providers and mobile network operators alike to deliver and monetize the latest Wi-Fi services as part of convergent network environments as well as standalone businesses. UhuruOne – a pioneer in next-generation broadband services in Sub-Sahara Africa – will leverage Alepo’s scalable, high-performance Wi-Fi solutions to deliver prepaid Wi-Fi services to subscribers throughout Tanzania, in corporate offices, hotels, shopping malls, universities, residential communities and other locations.
“We are proud to support UhuruOne in this endeavor to advance its Wi-Fi business in Tanzania and to make internet affordable, accessible, and available to all,” said Dan Stern, Vice President of Sales at Alepo. “At Alepo, we focus on building innovative solutions that can help internet service providers monetize their Wi-Fi networks by launching multiple, profitable offerings: single-use prepaid service, bundled subscriptions for existing broadband customers, Wi-Fi offload, and more.”
