In partnership with Huawei, stc Digital Education and Training Academy has launched a competition for 25 students who have been selected from Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, King Saud University, and Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University to conduct an upgraded study on 5G technology.
“Covering one of stc’s main mandates to minimize the gap between the industry and the academy, we invited Saudi university level students to participate in the innovation 5G idea competition by showcasing the future of 5G while exposing them to the potential job market that will open doors to more opportunities in their upcoming careers.” Said Dr. Moudhi bint Mohammed Aljamea, General Manager of Communications and Information Technology Development at stc Academy.
The competition, which lasts until March 15, includes several training workshops that offer students a competitive, creative and stimulating environment to help them conduct an advanced study on the development of 5G technology.
stc is the first company to launch 5G networks in the Middle East and North Africa and has been considered to be one of the fastest companies in the world to deploy the network.
By the end of the competition, a competent committee will select the top 10 students, who will then be provided with training opportunities at the Academy.
Selected students will have the Academy’s full support so that they may pursue their studies in developing 5G technology; a world-changing technology that will contribute to marking a new era of electronics.
The competition comes in line with stc's commitment to its role as an enabler of digital transformation locally and regionally. Stc is committed to enriching people's lives by offering the most advanced digital solutions and services in various fields such as telecommunications, information technology, digital payments, digital media, cybersecurity.
