Sparkle, the first international service provider in Italy and among the top ten global operators, announces the opening of a new Point of Presence (PoP) in Casablanca, Morocco.
Located at Orange Maroc open data center, Sparkle’s PoP will provide corporate communication services to multinational enterprises aiming to expand their business in Morocco.
Thanks to its political stability and economic growth, Morocco is attracting investments especially from Italian and European multinationals that are increasingly establishing offices and industrial sites in the country. At the same time, Morocco has strong and consolidated trade relations with several countries in West Africa, thus positioning itself as a commercial hub from Europe to the Sub Saharan African region.
With this new opening, Sparkle offers to Italian and European multinationals Ethernet and virtual private IP-VPN networks to connect their headquarters with their branches in Morocco and thus enable intracompany communication. Carrier MPLS, that extends connectivity services to other operators, and Cloud Connect, which offers private and secure connection to global cloud environments, complete Sparkle’s portfolio of services offered via the new PoP.
The PoP in Casablanca completes Sparkle’s presence in North Africa, stretching from Egypt to Morocco, and confirms its role as a reference partner for telcos, service providers and multinational companies seeking to extend their business in the Mediterranean.
Sparkle is TIM Group’s fully owned Global Operator, first international service provider in Italy and among the top ten worldwide, with a proprietary backbone of around 540,000 km of fiber spanning from Europe to Africa, the Americas and Asia.
