Smartfren, Mitel Drive VoLTE Service in Indonesia on SPIRIT DSP Engine

SPIRIT DSP, a global voice and video over IP software engines provider has announced that Smartfren, one of the leading telecom services provider with the broadest 4G network in Indonesia, together with Mitel, has developed and launched voice and video over LTE (VoLTE) service powered by SPIRIT’s TeamSpirit® Mobile Video Call SDK. New service supports Smartfren’s recently announced Andromax LTE mobile device launch.

TeamSpirit® Mobile Video Call SDK allows telcos and service providers all over the world to develop high quality voice and video over IP products and services even on low density networks in developing countries. Smartfren Telecom is the first to deploy VoLTE services in Indonesia.

Mitel's software-only VoLTE solution based on TeamSpirit® Mobile Video Call SDK allows rapid deployment optimized for continuous service innovation and new revenue opportunities. The speed of Smartfren's 4G LTE deployment has eclipsed the rollout in other regions, highlighting the enormous potential for software-based mobile solutions across Asia.
