As children and teenagers spend more and more time on the internet, parents need to protect their children from inappropriate and harmful online content.

M1 Limited has launched M1 Cyber Guardian, an enhanced service with additional features, including a self-help portal. Previously known as Internet Parent Control, Cyber Guardian is a network-based solution that enables customers to better customise and manage the use of the internet for their children’s healthy online consumption.

Bringing peace of mind to parents, Cyber Guardian is an easy way for parents to monitor online time and content for their children across all their devices. It saves time and effort as the criteria set will be automatically updated over the air on all devices. This includes remotely creating daily time limits for apps and websites, and blocking inappropriate sites among others.

“Cyber Guardian is an all-in-one solution in our market to offer always-on, end-to-end parental control. It will help customers balance the internet life of their family members,” said P. Subramaniam, Chief Marketing Officer, M1. “With the self-help portal, parents can now manage and monitor their children’s internet access on the go and keep them safe online.”

Customers can sign up to protect their loved ones with Cyber Guardian for S$2.70 a month starting 13 December 2017 through My M1 app and at any M1 Shop outlet islandwide. First time subscribers to Cyber Guardian enjoy six months of free service.
