Samsung Unveils Galaxy Note 4 in India for INR 58,300

Quite close on the heels of its global launch, Samsung has unveiled its flagship smartphone - Galaxy Note 4 in India at Rs 58,300. The company is going to make Galaxy Note 4 available on 17th of October, exactly the day on which Apple’s latest iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are also set to reach Indian shores.

As part of its introductory offer, Vodafone is offering up to 2GB of data per month for subscribers who are not active on data packs. Subscribers with active data packs will get up to 1GB per month for two months.

Speaking at the launch of Galaxy Note 4, Asim Warsi, VP, Mobile and IT, Samsung India, said, "This launch highlights our commitment to deliver iconic and differentiated products. The new device exhibits people inspired innovation with its unique combination of an enhanced S Pen, large and vivid display and superior productivity features to provide the most refined Galaxy experience to our customers.

Galaxy Note 4 has a 5.7-inch display and comes in four distinct colors – Charcoal Black, Frost White, Bronze Gold and Blossom Pink. Keeping in mind the customer’s need for better display, Samsung has also increased the display resolution in Galaxy Note series, from Full HD (1080x1920p) in Note 3 to QHD (1440x2560p) in Note 4.

Powering Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, which is one of the most powerful mobile chip in the world as of now. Galaxy Note 4 comes packed with 3GB RAM and the only storage option now is 32GB, with support for 64GB microSD cards for more storage.

Keeping the interest of end customer's in mind, Samsung is going to make available its latest in Galaxy Note 4 through its offline as well as online channel partners in India. "Our primary objective is to make sure that customers get the benefit and that is why we are going to make this product available through our set of online partners as well as our traditional partners, including Samsung Cafes and stores," Asim Warsi added.

S Pen and S Note Reinvent Everyday Tasks

​Making everyday tasks much faster and easier, the Galaxy Note 4’s S Pen has been specifically evolved to serve as the primary interface for routine tasks. This new S Pen offers a much more authentic pen experience, with a more natural brush effect that perfectly emulates writing on paper with a fountain or calligraphy pen. The S Pen serves as the key to a more user-friendly Air Command functionality with intuitive features such as Action Memo, Smart Select, Image Clip and Screen Write that allow users to create and collect content with ease. A new Smart Select feature enables users to easily piece together content from different origins, and share or collect it with ease.​

​The Galaxy Note 4 also provides users with a choice of multiple, seamless note-taking methods integrated with Samsung’s S Note application. In addition to typing and writing, the innovative Photo Note feature allows users to take a picture and convert the image into editable format within the S-Note. They can also further unleash their creativity by jotting down their thoughts quickly with the Voice Memo.

​The Galaxy Note 4 introduces a new sleek and stylish Galaxy design language. The device features a premium metal frame with fluid curvature that seamlessly blends with the device display. The Galaxy Note 4’s 2.5D glass screen, inherited from the Galaxy S3, offers extra protection while perfectly complementing the device’s rich viewing experience. The soft-textured back cover gives the device a luxurious finish while also providing a comfortable grip.

Superior Battery Life

Samsung has laid emphasis on the battery life of the Galaxy Note 4 so as to ensure that the users enjoy the host of features without interruption. The Adaptive Fast Charging feature in the Galaxy Note 4 charges the battery from 0% to 50% in 33 minutes, which is 44% faster than conventional charging. The Ultra Power Saving Mode complements the fast charging by ensuring that users don’t run out of power when they need it most. And to top it off, the Galaxy Note 4 consumes less power than its predecessor, thus increasing the battery life by 7.5%.

Value Added Features

​The Galaxy Note 4’s wide selection of enhanced essential features enables users to get even more from their mobile device. The Galaxy Note 4 comes equipped with multiple microphones and an improved speaker phone for better noise cancellation when speaking in loud environments.
