Taking forward its Galaxy line of smartphones with a new design philosophy, Samsung Electronics has unveiled its latest edition in the form of Galaxy Alpha. This LTE ready smartphone features a new approach to design of smartphones and is body is constructed with a metal frame.
This smartphone will be made available in the market by first week of October, 2014 at INR 39,990. The smartphone will be available in Charcoal Black, Dazzling White and Frosted Gold Colors.
Speaking during the launch of this smartphone, SK Kim, Managing Director, Sales, Samsung Electronics India said, “As the market leader, Samsung has significantly contributed to the market growth by setting new benchmarks in offering the best-in-class technology and products. With this launch, Samsung is announcing a new design approach to satiate customer demands for stylish products. This will change the business dynamics of the premium smartphone segment in India.”
Elaborating on the new design approach, Asim Warsi, VP, Mobile & IT, Samsung India, said. “The Galaxy Alpha is built and designed to cater to the specific desires of the customers. This is bringing a completely new design appearance and delivering unique beauty combined with functionality. The stunning metal frame and light weight design is making it really a special smartphone. On the other hand, it has most powerful hardware that can power best in class features on this smartphone,” he added.
As a special offer for its customers, Samsung along with its telecom network partner - Airtel, will provide 5 GB data per month for two months for LTE networks and 2GB data per month for two months for 2G networks.
Customer is King
Keeping in mind, today’s complexities of handling two separate channel funnels in the form of online trading platforms and regular channel partners, vendors often find it difficult to keep the sanity of price points in place. However, Samsung is set to let the customer decide on the way they want to buy this product.
“We respect our customers and we want them to make their own decisions in terms of where to buy our product. Hence we are making our products available to both the channel systems of online trade as well as regular channel partners,” Asim Warsi added.
