In today’s world, it’s critical that all Canadians, no matter where they live, have access to dependable home internet to keep them connected to the people and things that matter most.

In partnership with Southwestern Integrated Fibre Technology Inc. (SWIFT), we are proud to be taking the next step in closing the digital divide between rural and urban areas by expanding our network to bring next-generation technology to the community of Haysville, a village in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, Ontario.

Starting in August 2021, through a joint investment of $300,000 with SWIFT, Rogers will build 2.1 kilometres of fibre optic network to serve 54 homes and businesses in Haysville. Construction is expected to begin in August 2021 and be completed by March 2022.

To date, Rogers has invested with SWIFT, $12 million on five projects to extend the Rogers network by 123.8 kilometres in Ontario, allowing over 3,100 more homes and businesses to have access to Rogers Ignite services, including Ignite Internet with up to 1 gigabit download speed and Ignite TVTM, Rogers revolutionary TV service.
