Ranplan Wireless will be showcasing its latest suite of indoor and outdoor planning tools for 3G, 4G and 5G wireless networks at CommunicAsia 2019, from 18 - 20 June at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore.
Ranplan Professional, is an all-in-one, heterogeneous planning, optimisation and simulation solution for Small Cells, DAS and Wi-Fi networks across indoor and outdoor environments that also integrates with macro-cell networks.
Ranplan will also be featuring Collaboration Hub, a secure cloud-based platform that allows operators, system integrators and equipment vendors to work together with a real-time overview of an entire project lifecycle.
When used together, Ranplan’s unique enterprise level heterogenous planning solutions offer unprecedented clarity, enabling accurate and efficient decision making among all stakeholders.
Ranplan Professional is the world’s only combined 5G planning platform for complex indoor and outdoor wireless networks and high-density urban environments, which helps mobile operators to reduce CAPEX/OPEX by up to 30% and enables system integrators to increase productivity by up to 50%.
By simultaneously modelling indoor and outdoor environments and the propagation interactions between them, Ranplan’s intelligent algorithms and 3D ray-tracing capabilities are able to automate the network design process to optimise indoor and outdoor coverage and capacity, prior to deployment.
Ranplan Collaboration Hub is a cloud-based and easy-to-use network planning project management and workflow platform that allows managers and onsite engineers to manage projects in real-time, from inception through to deployment and maintenance.
Being able to visualise a project in 2D or 3D allows users to create accurate floor designs and complete network system designs, as well as run advanced propagation simulations to check network performance. As Collaboration Hub is a cloud-based platform, dispersed project teams can securely access, edit and share files as well as track costs and resources, increasing productivity and speeding up delivery.
“With the acceleration of 5G and the drive to re-use spectrum and harness the full range of network technologies to provide capacity and coverage for indoor and outdoor use cases, RF design can no longer be planned without understanding the impact of physical structures, outdoor small cells, Outdoor Distributed Antenna System (ODAS) and macro sectors,” said Alastair Williamson, CEO Ranplan Group AB. “Using both Ranplan Professional and Collaboration Hub as a combined 360° enterprise level network planning platform will enable all parties that are part of the wider connectivity ecosystem to improve team communication, enforce best practice methodologies and facilitate consistency and transparency of the design process.”
Also featured at CommunicAsia will be Ranplan In-Building, a new indoor network planning and optimization platform designed specifically for large, complex in-building projects where high-density indoor coverage is a challenge. Ranplan In-Building Lite is a cut-down tool created specifically for rapid, cost-effective design of small or medium-sized in-building networks for public safety or mission critical communications and helps to reduce network design time by to 50%.
Ranplan Tablet is an easy-to-use, intuitive tool designed specifically for non-RF engineers to reduce the time of onsite RF planning by quickly capturing site survey information, rapidly create preliminary indoor plans, and generate quotes. Ranplan Tablet can be used with Ranplan Professional and Ranplan Collaboration Hub.
