RADWIN - the global sub-6 GHz broadband wireless solution provider, has announced that Hornblower Niagara Cruises - the official Canadian Tour Boat operator in Niagara Falls – has deployed RADWIN’s FiberinMotion® mobility solution to provide high-speed wireless connectivity onboard its boats.
Maresco Telecom Group, a full-service solution provider, was in charge of project design and implementation for this enablement.
John Corsetti, General Manager, Maresco Telecom Group: “Hornblower Niagara Cruises sought to establish a unified and secure network onboard its cruise ships for Wi-Fi, security cameras, live streaming and point-of-sale (POS) equipment. We recommended RADWIN for this project based on our positive experience with the brand. RADWIN’s IP67 base stations and the mobile subscriber units deployed onboard the ships are rugged and waterproof. They operate even in misty conditions, providing ultra-throughput connectivity on-the-go to run multiple applications.”
Dennis Stipati, GM RADWIN North America: “FiberinMotion is deployed in countless installations in ports and aboard boats and ferries that need to provide always-on connectivity for operators and passengers. FiberinMotion supplies uninterrupted connectivity of up to 250 Mbps and enables a connection where previously it was not possible to establish one. Rugged and robust, the solution operates in the most adverse environments.”
