Amity University, Haryana and NEC Technologies India has launched a joint training program in Japanese language, culture and Japanese business practices for Amity University students.
NEC Japanese Language Academy (NJLA), the language and intercultural training academy of NECTI, will facilitate the training program. Over 200 students are expected to be trained under this program. An MoU was signed by Mr. Piyush Sinha, Deputy Managing Director, NECTI and Prof (Dr) Padmakali Banerjee, Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean Academics, Director Amity Business School, in the presence of key officials and dignitaries such as Prof Ashok Tiku, Head, Amity School of Languages, Reena Nigam, Head, Amity Skills Institute, Archana Tiwary, Assistant Professor, Amity School of languages.
Under this agreement, NECTI will act as a skill development training partner of Amity School of Languages and assist the university in providing Japanese language training and skill-based knowledge training, especially for IT and mechanical engineering students of AUH.
This training program will be open to students from other faculties as well. The university will offer intensive diploma and certificate courses as a joint program between AUH and NECTI. Enrolled students will get an opportunity to visit NECTI and will also be taken on education tours to get practical exposure. Trained students will also be given access to internship opportunities at NECTI.

On the partnership, Prof (Dr) Padmakali Banerjee, Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean Academics, Director, Amity Business School said, “The MoU is in tune with Amity’s principles and its emphasis on innovation, industry integration and internationalization. This partnership will help students expand their horizon in terms of employability and knowledge. The training programme will help in our endeavour to shape quality professionals. NEC Japanese Language Academy was inaugurated in 2016 with the aim to cultivate Japanese language skills. Its main focus is to contribute to the mutual economic growth of India and Japan by providing support for overcoming two major challenges, language and cultural barriers.
