Alepo (www.alepo.com) – a global provider of core network and IT software solutions for communications service providers worldwide, announced a new partnership with Blue Arcus Technologies Inc. to launch 4G LTE and WiFi services across the Marshall Islands with the National Telecommunications Authority (NTA).
With a vision to provide customers with high-speed fixed and mobile internet services throughout the Marshall Islands, NTA made the decision to rapidly evolve its mobile broadband infrastructure from 2G to 4G LTE and WiFi.
In doing so, NTA will be able to offer faster, more reliable mobile broadband services, more personalized data plans and offers for every type of customer, and create a more modern customer experience.
“NTA is committed to providing reliable, high-quality communications services everywhere in the Marshall Islands, and by upgrading our networks to 4G LTE and WiFi, we will be able to give our customers and visitors a greater digital experience,” said Thomas Jr. Kijiner, President and CEO for NTA. “We are confident in our selection of Alepo and Blue Arcus to make our vision of 4G LTE a reality."
As part of the project, Alepo will deploy its convergent, real-time charging and billing solution, which enables communications service providers like NTA to accelerate time to market of new services and offers, to modernize the customer experience with web and mobile app self-service channels, and to differentiate services via app-based charging, service bundles, family and shared plans, prepaid and pay-as-you-go data plans, flexible promotional offers and loyalty rewards, and much more.
Alepo's solution combines essential LTE evolved packet core network functions, including advanced policy and charging control (PCRF), real-time charging and billing (OCS / OFCS), AAA infrastructure for WiFi interworking, and additional business support systems (BSS), onto a single, high-performance platform that can be rapidly deployed and monetized. In addition, Alepo will integrate with the legacy mobile core infrastructure to create a truly convergent mobile environment.
“We are proud to work alongside the National Telecommunications Authority and Blue Arcus to upgrade the communications infrastructure in the Marshall Islands with LTE and WiFi,” said Vani Manian, Technical Director for Asia Pacific at Alepo. She added, “NTA's leadership and vision for a more connected Marshall Islands will create a better quality of service and experience for NTA subscribers.”
This deployment marks the first partnership between Alepo and Blue Arcus.
“We are very pleased to partner with Alepo to support the launch of LTE at NTA in Marshall Islands,” said Naren Yanamadala, CEO of BlueArcus. He added, “We trust Alepo’s proven industry experience and expertise in the deployment of LTE solution and hope that the partnership will prove to be beneficial in the roll out of LTE in NTA’s network.”
