Letv touches US$239 million Sales from China’s “Singles Day" Shopping Festival

Letv has announced that its total sales from China’s annual shopping festival, Singles Day, which falls on every November 11th, had reached to $239 million across all e-commerce platforms, including its own LeMall.com, TMall.com, and JD.com.

The robust figures point to the growing strength of Letv’s ecosystem-based ecommerce presence, and signals the potentially massive impact with American consumers as it continues to build its stateside presence.

Though Singles Day sales were strong across all of Letv’s devices, its Super TVs and Le Super phones stood out as the most impressive. An astounding 386,000 Super TVs were sold in total, resulting in a staggering $150.8 million in sales. At both Tmall and JD.com, it generated the highest TV sales volume, and exceeded $100 million in sales on Tmall alone.

The company’s immensely popular line of Le Super phones also proved a huge success, over 263,000 units sold with a $65.9 million gain. Its 2nd generation smartphone, the recently launched Le 1s, continued to set records, as it achieved the highest sales volume among new products at JD.com.

These numbers highlight a remarkable growth trajectory for Letv’s smartphones and smart TVs in particular which in a relatively compact period of time. Letv have surged in popularity among Chinese consumers, beating out other top competitors.

Letv’s noteworthy Singles Day sales figures also set the table for bringing its ecosystem of devices and experiences to U.S. consumers. Earlier today, it officially launched LeMall in the U.S., delivering “Grand Celebration” deals such as $0.99 blue tooth speakers and promotional offers for other premium accessories. Later this year, it plans to make its immensely popular Super TVs available for U.S. consumers.
