Karbonn joins hand with MediaTek to launch octacore, hexa core smartphones

India’s Karbonn and Taiwanese chipmaker Mediatek have come together to launch three smartphones and bring down the prices of high-end Octa-core and new Hexa core devices in India. 

Karbonn Mobiles has announced the launch of three new devices, two with MediaTek Octa core and another with Hexa core. These smartphones are also the first ones to run on Android’s latest Kit Kat version by an Indian manufacturer.

The Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus is the top end device of these three and runs on MediaTek MT6592 1.7 GHz Octa core processor. It will have a FullHD screen and 16GB internal storage. The phone will cost Rs 17,990. The phone has a 16MP camera, while the other two phones have a 13MP sensor.

The Karbonn Titanium Octane is the HD version of the phone and is available at Rs 14,490. The Karbonn Titanium Hexa is priced at Rs 16,990 and will have a MT6591 1.5 GHz hexacore processor and FullHD screen.

Speaking on the launch of these latest devices, Pardeep Jain, Managing Director, Karbonn said, “We aim to bring constant innovations for our consumers and offer them with a distinct experience every time they use their smartphones.
