SaskTel has launched interNET Extended 50 in nine communities, including: Biggar, Broadview, Davidson, Hague, Lanigan, Maryfield, Osler, Qu’Appelle, and Watson. Offering download speeds up to 50 Mbps, interNET Extended 50 is the fastest rural internet service SaskTel has ever offered.

“Our government understands the key role that the internet plays in today’s world, especially in rural parts of our province where economic activity, social interaction and educational opportunities are often reliant on an internet connection,” said Don Morgan, Minister Responsible for SaskTel. “Knowing this, I am incredibly pleased with SaskTel’s continued efforts to enhance internet speeds throughout rural Saskatchewan.”

With the introduction of interNET Extended 50, residents and businesses in all nine communities have a variety of SaskTel interNET Extended packages to choose from with download speeds ranging from 5-50 Mbps.

“interNET Extended 50 is the fastest internet service we’ve ever offered in rural Saskatchewan and is a direct result of our strategic investments in new and advanced technologies,” Doug Burnett, SaskTel President and CEO, “Thanks to those investments, tens of thousands of our customers province-wide now have access to internet speeds that were once a mere pipe dream.”

All SaskTel interNET Extended packages also come with unlimited usage, in-home Wi-Fi, and 24/7 helpdesk support.

SaskTel plans to invest $321 million of capital in 2019/20 in Saskatchewan and over $1.4 billion through 2018-2023. These investments will ensure that all Saskatchewan residents continue to receive some of the best communication and entertainment services in the world.
