Indus Towers, one of the largest telecom tower companies in the world, has announced the expansion of its green initiatives to 35,000 green sites (diesel free) across 15 circles in the country. Through its various initiatives to enable communications through sustainable green solutions in India, Indus has been able to reduce carbon emissions, consumption of diesel and save energy across all such sites.
Indus has always been a frontrunner in promoting cleaner and greener options to provide seamless network connectivity. Re-iterating this belief, Indus Towers has been able to reduce consumption of 54 million liters of diesel per annum as well as 140 million kgs worth of carbon emissions. Speaking of the milestone achieved, B S Shantharaju, Chief Executive Officer, Indus Towers, said, “Indus has been constantly working towards providing green and eco-friendly telecommunication services in the country. This milestone is another step into the direction of achieving a greener environment.
