India sales of Huawei's newly launched Honor 6 smartphone has surpassed over ten thousand units sold in first 48 hours with the help of its online channel partner Flipkart.
Since its commercial debut on October 6, the phone is estimated to be selling at 3-4 units per minute during the first 48 hours. Huawei & Flipkart announced this tie-up at the onset of the festive season & Honor 6 was made available for sale on the “The Big Billion Day” with the objective to reach out to maximum customers pan India.
Honor 6 has made a new record for Huawei by generating sales faster than any of its predecessors in India with a whopping sales numbers. This is a remarkable achievement for Huawei as the device has seen an overwhelming response from consumers across the country. Honor 6 has sold 2.5M units in 3 months in China and maintains as one of the best selling phone at jd.com, the biggest B2C website in China. The brand also created a history by becoming the first Chinese brand to enter the Top 100 Best Global Brands report by Interbrand.
Honor is Huawei’s online brand & two key Honor devices - Honor6 smartphone & Honor T1 tablet were announced in India on 29th Sept, 2014. Huawei also has its Acsend series which is sold through its offline channel partners in India.
