Elisa and German-based industrial software provider camLine Group have signed an agreement in which Elisa acquires the camLine Group. The combination of two strong industrial software players with unique offering provides value for customers and speeds up growth in new markets.
Smart manufacturing is a fast-growing software market, where Elisa has been delivering Smart Factory solutions for over five years. Elisa’s Smart Factory, consisting of 2D/3D dashboards, machine learning and smart Lockout Tagout solution, is based on its proven data analytics, data integration, and AI capabilities from Elisa’s telecom heritage.
camLine is a software solution provider for manufacturing industry with strong focus on MES, quality and operational excellence. The company has a global customer base, including semiconductor and electronics manufacturers, solar industry, advanced materials and medical devices. camLine has over 30 years of experience and 220 professionals in 8 countries, and its solutions are being used by customers in over 350 factories worldwide. Their flexible and easily configurable system provides comprehensive solution to increase productivity, effectiveness and efficiency.
Joining forces speeds up camLine’s growth further by adding machine learning, artificial intelligence and 3D functionalities to its offering, as well as industrial software growth of both companies in the manufacturing industry by a more comprehensive product portfolio.

The acquisition is consistent with Elisa’s strategy to grow digital businesses internationally and to accelerate the Elisa Industrial Software business. camLine will operate as an independent subsidiary supported by Elisa’s resources and capabilities, and the current management continues in their roles.
