EE debuts range of new 5G-ready plans for connected devices

EE has announced a range of new 5G-ready Smart and Essential plans for connected devices. Customers who purchase a tablet, laptop, 4GEE or 5GEE mobile WiFi devices or a Data SIM will now be able to take advantage of EE’s Stay Connected data service, and Smart plan customers can choose to take Netflix as their Smart benefit.

EE has also today unveiled an exciting new Fitness plan for customers taking out Apple Watch on EE which includes 24 months access to Apple Fitness+, the first fitness service built entirely around Apple Watch to keep customers motivated like never before.

Stay Connected and Netflix Smart benefit

Following the launch of EE’s Stay Connected data offering and Netflix Smart benefit for mobile customers, EE is extending them to customers who take out a new connected device plan.

The Stay Connected service will be available to new and upgrading Essential and Smart plan customers who purchase any EE connected device including tablets, laptops and 4GEE and 5GEE mobile broadband devices. Stay Connected will also be available on pay monthly Data SIMs. Stay Connected data is fast enough for accessing email, music streaming and web browsing, though customers across all plans will still have the choice of a data add-on if they would like to continue with full speed data, or they can receive additional data from someone on the same shared plan via data-gifting.

Meanwhile, EE is rolling out Netflix as a new Smart benefit for Smart Plan customers on laptop, tablet and data SIM plans.

Customers can choose to take the Netflix Basic plan worth £5.99 per month, providing them access to award-winning Netflix series, movies, and documentaries on demand on the world’s largest subscription streaming service which can also be used with a Smart TV. Customers can also opt for one of EE’s existing Smart benefits or passes and stay entertained with world class content through the BT Sport app or EE’s Video Data pass or enjoy using their UK data allowance in USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand with the Roam Abroad pass.

Unlimited Tablet, Laptop, 4GEE, 5GEE WiFi and Data SIM plans

EE is launching a new range of Essential and Smart data plans for tablets, laptops and data SIMs. This includes the option of unlimited data for the first time.

Customers can purchase iPad Air 10.9-inch for £46.80 pm, £0 upfront (£52 pm, £50 upfront for non EE customers), or the Samsung Galaxy Book Go laptop for £38.70 (£43 pm, £50 upfront for non EE customers) on an EE Smart plan, with unlimited data included

Customers can purchase a 5G ready data SIM from EE with unlimited data from £34.20pm, (£38 pm for non EE customers) helping them to connect any SIM enabled device instantly

EE is also introducing a new range of data packages with inclusive 4GEE and 5GEE WiFi devices coming on Friday 20th August.

Unlimited data and a 4GEE WiFi will be available from Friday for £36 (£40pm for non EE customers), and unlimited data and a 5GEE WiFi for £45 (£50pm for non EE customers) on a 24 month plan. 30 day options are also available

Prices quoted reflect that existing EE customers taking one of these products as a second line receive a 10% discount on the monthly price, and on tablet/laptop devices a reduction in the upfront cost.

Upgraded Paired Watch plans

From today, customers who purchase any Apple Watch Series 6 or Apple Watch SE on an EE Fitness Watch plan will get 24 months access to Apple Fitness+ included as part of their plan. The service brings studio-style workouts to iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, intelligently incorporating metrics from Apple Watch for a first-of-its kind personalised and immersive experience users can complete wherever and whenever is convenient for them.

Workouts are led by a phenomenal team of trainers whose approach is welcoming to all, and are fuelled by inspiring music from today’s top artists designed to keep users motivated from start to finish. With Fitness+, users can also get moving outside with Time to Walk — the inspiring audio experience on Apple Watch for Fitness+ — designed to encourage users to get active by walking more often.

Each episode features some of the world’s most interesting and influential people who share stories, photos, and music with Fitness+ subscribers.

Available with this new plan is Apple Watch Series 6, which is available on an EE Fitness Watch plan from £35 a month, and Apple Watch SE, which is available from £27 a month – both with unlimited data.
