CSL is launching an innovative Piggy Bank Data Carry Forward Service in Hong Kong that allows customers to carry forward their unused mobile data entitlement within their contract period.
With the Piggy Bank Data Carry Forward Service, unused data entitlement will be automatically rolled over to the following month during the contract period, enabling customers to manage their mobile data usage more cost-effectively. For instance, a customer of a 6GB service plan consuming only 4GB in the first month will have the remaining 2GB carried forward to the following month, adding up to a total availability of 8GB in the second month. Any unused portion of the accumulated data in the second month will be carried forward to the third month, and so on.
Piggy Bank Data Carry Forward Service is available at HK$48 per month only, or just about $1.6 per day, and is open to customers of the Ultra 300, iPhone and Multi-User service plans. Existing customers do not have to wait until they renew their contract because they can join the service for the remainder of the contract period of their service plans.
Customers who have a more erratic pattern of data consumption and those who anticipate large data usage during a particular period of time within their contract period will find this service especially useful. For example, football fans can consume mobile data entitlements rolled over from the summer recess months for watching matches during the football season.
Bruce Lam, Chief Marketing Officer of CSL Mobile, said, "This is not a simple one month roll-over plan, it is an accumulator plan that allows our customers to have peace of mind as they can save unused data entitlement, accumulate it throughout their contract period and use it to match their needs."
