GENBAND, a provider of real-time communications solutions today announced that Converge Distribution Limited (CDL) has joined its Kandy Business Solutions (branded as Nuvia in APAC) reseller ecosystem, making advanced UC solutions including Cloud PBX, Mobility and Collaboration services more broadly available throughout New Zealand.

The solution also includes the inaugural deployment of the Kandy Communicator, an intuitive, easy-to- use mobile interface built on Kandy which marries communications Platform as a Service (cPaaS), and Unified Communications as a Service (uCaaS) capabilities for the first time. Small businesses on the go can leverage the Kandy Communicator’s location-based functionality to track employees’ location on a map if enabled by the employee, who retains full control over their visibility in accordance with privacy requirements.

The agreement enables end-users to cost-effectively replace their on-prem PBXs with a suite of market- read, easy-to-install cloud UC services, gaining enhanced productivity via integrated collaboration and mobility features. The Kandy cloud also offers communication enablement of existing services with Kandy Wrappers, pre-packaged lightweight software applications that quickly and easily embed communications within workflows.
