Cataleya Private Limited and Sanntuu Corporation, a telecommunication carrier and System Integrator in Japan, have signed an exclusive agreement which appoints Sanntuu as Cataleya’s sole representative in the Japanese market.

Japan is on the verge of fully migrating from TDM to IP, as it plans to phase out TDM by 2024. Sanntuu will empower this migration by offering seamless managed interconnection solutions to Japanese carriers, using Orchid One’s advanced IP capabilities and features.

At the same time, it will be Cataleya’s commercial and technical support arm in-country, providing Japanese telecom operators contracts, engagement and support in the local language.

The migration of networks from TDM to IP is complex, expensive and tedious. To speed up Japan’s IP migration, Sanntuu will use Orchid One’s SBC and Switching capabilities to handle inter-operators’ IP connectivity, and provide them with a simple, economic and unified solution, which also includes guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) over IP.

“It has been a two-year process and it took a lot of hard work, dedication and investment to become a qualified technology partner to empower Japanese operator’s full migration to IP. We are very proud that, together with Cataleya, we were able to meet Japan’s strict technical requirements, while also providing cost-efficiency and guaranteed quality. Adding to this, our in-country support will create an unmatched end-to-end offering, making Japanese operators’ migration to IP as seamless and painless as possible” said Jorge Takata, General Manager at Sanntuu Corporation.

“Having been a long-standing customer of Cataleya and having gained tremendous experience in working with the Orchid product line, Sanntuu is best positioned to be our partner in such a challenging and crucial market as Japan. I am extremely proud that we were able to provide Sanntuu with an efficient way to address real demands for all-IP networking, while in return they can ensure we serve our Japanese customers in a personalized and tailored fashion to meet their specific needs. Very few vendors can achieve this in the Japanese market.” said Andreas Hipp, CEO and Chairman of Cataleya.

Orchid One was specifically designed to enable the delivery of IP communications services and high-performance applications. It offers service providers full end-to-end QoS and QoE, with visibility from the transport to applications layers. This is critical for the delivery of advanced communications services. With Orchid One, customers can manage network operations with near real-time analytics related to session, service, application, MOS/R-factor scores, network and end-to-end SLAs.
