Brocade Helping AT&T Innovate on SDN and NFV to Deliver Dynamic On-Demand Services

Global next generation network fabric enabler Brocade is driving AT&T in order to innovate towards delivering next generation dynamic on-demand services to its customers while, utilizing Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) technologies.

As a result of this development, AT&T is able to transform its network infrastructure towards next generation networking by providing customers with more flexible and scalable services.

As part of this partnership, AT&T is working with Brocade to enable routing functions to be delivered from the cloud.  The new on-demand Managed Internet Service uses SDN and NFV technologies to deploy virtualized access routers and automate control in the core network. That means customers don’t need to buy additional equipment at their locations. With Managed Internet Service on Demand, businesses can adjust and add capabilities in near-real time.
