Alcatel Onetouch Unveils Idol X+, to be available exclusively on Flipkart.com

Alcatel Onetouch, a brand of China based TCL Communication, has unveiled its IDOL X+ smartphone with Octa Core processor which allows eight cores to work simultaneously to enable the next level of performance and power efficiency. The smartphone, which is priced at Rs 16,999, will be made exclusive available through India’s ecommerce marketplace, Flipkart.com.

The smartphone will go live at Flipkart.com on 3^rd of June 2014 and will come with a Boomband and JBL headphones. Building on the global success of the IDOL range, the IDOL X+ combines a 5” full HD 441 ppi display and a 13.1 mega pixel camera with an Octa Core 2 Ghz processor.

Speaking on the launch of this handset, Praveen Valecha, Regional Director, APAC, Alcatel Onetouch, said, “IDOL X+ is our first ecommerce driven initiative and we are very excited to launch this phone in partnership with Flipkart.com. Flipkart.com is our primary and exclusive online retail partner for this smartphone and they will drive this smartphone sale in over 400 loications that they are present in. As far as service is concerned, we already have 500 service centers and we will be servicing this smartphone through our service network,” he added.

The “0” bezel and borderless, 2.4 mm edge to edge design means that pictures and videos fill the available space. Added to the market-leading more than 170 degree viewing angle offered by the Full HD IPS display, the IDOL X+ is ideal to show off pictures and videos to friends and family. The perfectly designed side speakers produce louder and quality sound, supporting SACD’s 24bit/192KHz playback which is 4 times better than CD.
