Calix Support Cloud and Carrier Class Mesh-Enhanced Wi-Fi provide a complete, whole-home solution as next stage of network transition

Calix, Inc. has announced that Alabama-based Farmers Telecommunications Cooperative (FTC) is partnering with Calix to improve its customers’ broadband user experience by deploying GigaCenter and 804Mesh capabilities, managed by Calix Support Cloud (CSC).

This cutting-edge subscriber experience solution provides a dramatically improved Wi-Fi experience over a variety of gateways previously used by FTC. These upgraded solutions position FTC to provide a best-in-class subscriber experience with whole-home coverage necessary for today’s broadband users. With CSC, FTC will be able to fully monitor, diagnose, and manage home networks remotely and proactively address issues before subscribers experience service interruptions.

As FTC prepares to deliver the “smart home of the future,” it will leverage Calix EXOS and the Smart Home app to combine the in-home and connected experiences it delivers separately today.

“As part of this transition, we re-evaluated our customers’ in-home Wi-Fi offering and took action to provide a better experience, including apps that put the subscriber in control,” said Brandi Lyles, manager of marketing for FTC. “Calix solutions have enabled us to take a tremendous leap forward in providing better coverage, deeper diagnostics, and faster connectivity, with speeds of up to 1 Gbps symmetrical. More importantly, our partnership with Calix throughout our subscriber experience upgrade has been invaluable.”

To ensure the partnership has remained focused on FTC’s goals, Calix has held marketing consultations throughout the engagement. During this process, Calix shares: best practices, packaging, and positioning of services, competitive insights, industry trends, and customer success stories.

Calix has also created a suite of marketing and education materials to help customers optimize their success in the home. When FTC was seeking the most efficient way to deploy GigaCenters, the two companies consulted to explore the idea of enabling subscribers to install their own equipment, without FTC needing to deploy a field technician. FTC and Calix are now working together to make this a reality.

“At Calix, we pride ourselves on truly partnering with our customers, investing heavily in their success and recognizing that the relationship means so much more than simply selling them a solution,” said Matt Collins, chief marketing officer for Calix. “It’s been a joy working with Brandi and her team to help get their marketing campaigns up and running to meet the growing demands of their subscriber base.”
