Epsilon, a privately-owned global communications Service Provider, was selected by aamra, Bangladesh’s leading ICT solution and service provider, to enable connectivity into the London Internet Exchange (LINX) and Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX) in Europe.
aamra can now use the Infiny by Epsilon on-demand connectivity platform to directly access a global ecosystem of Internet Exchanges (IX).
With Epsilon’s IX Connect, aamra can peer in leading European markets without being physically present at the Internet Exchange Points (IXP). It gains a cost-efficient and seamless way to connect Bangladeshi businesses to their end users in Europe, while improving resiliency on their network to deliver an optimised user experience when viewing content or using web-based applications and services.
“We make it simple and seamless for companies like aamra to extend their reach and connect their customers in new markets with on-demand remote peering. Using Infiny, aamra can rapidly access a dense ecosystem of IXs with a truly flexible and reliable infrastructure,” said Jerzy Szlosarek, CEO, Epsilon. “Consumers today demand high-quality content and digital experience. By choosing Epsilon, aamra is prioritising performance and user experience to support their customers’ needs globally.
Epsilon’s IX Connect solution provides on-demand, flexible bandwidth access to the world’s leading IXs in unique and high-growth markets from any data centre connected to its global network fabric. Infiny users can interconnect with over 100 data centres in leading global interconnection locations and directly access a growing ecosystem of IXs.
“Our work with Epsilon is part of a wider strategy that is focused on connecting our customers in Bangladesh across Europe. Our Point of Presence (PoP) in Marseille was the first step and Epsilon has supported us with extended connectivity to some of Europe’s most important IXs,” said Syed Faruque Ahmed, Chairman, aamra companies. “We selected Epsilon because it offers us immediate access to new IXs with the flexibility and scalability to meet growing customer demand. From a single platform, we can seamlessly expand into new markets and offer our customers a solution that optimises the delivery of content and Cloud services globally.”
aamra serves 1,600 customers in various industry segments across Bangladesh including Finance, Healthcare, Government, Education, Technology, Telecommunications, Multimedia, Ready-made Garment and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods. In January 2019, the company established a PoP in Interxion Data Centre in Marseille to support the growth of internet traffic between Bangladesh and Europe.
