Priced at ₹21,990
At a time when the market is flooded with selfie focused smartphones – Vivo V7 Plus is a different device – with a 24 MP selfie camera, an 18:9 display and a brand-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, this is most certainly designed to deliver best selfie experience.
Build and Design: Elegant and Smooth
When it comes to design, most of the smartphones today are rectangular in shape, but the Vivo V7 Plus is a different device with an 18:9 display offering. This unique design factor makes it an elongated rectangular slab. And of course it comes with bezels that are also quite small in shape.
Vivo V7 Plus is made of plastic and glass and delivers great, elegant looks. This phone is quite light in weight, comes with narrow bezels and taller display which means that this device is easier to hold.
Vivo V7 Plus has a single camera and flash unit on the rear. It has a power button and volume controls on the right. The device comes with dual-SIM+microSD card slot on the right and a headphone jack, speaker grille and microUSB port is placed at the bottom of this device.
Features: Powerful and Useful
Selfie is surely one of the biggest feature of this device, however, it is packed with a powerful combination of hardware and software that is just right to deliver great value for customers.
It is important to note that this is the first smartphone to feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 450 platform. And what makes it so very special – is the fact that this device features a mammoth 24 MP selfie camera that’s primed to give you great selfie experience.
The rest of the specs of this device include a 4 GB RAM, 64 GB of internal storage, support for 256 GB microSD cards, 5.99-inch 18:9 HD display (1440×720), a 16 MP rear camera, and a 3,225 mAh battery.
While reviewing this device we never experienced any lag in performance – even though we tested is pretty extensively: that included playing games, videos, music, surfing the net and using Google maps for navigation. It just handled everything easily and seamlessly.
This device features a 5.99-inch IPS LCD HD display (1440×720) in an 18:9 aspect ratio. This is a delight and quite a unique feature for this device. The screen is bright enough for use in sunlight and its colour reproduction is quite good and vibrant.
OS and Software: Delivers Seamless Performance
The phone is running a custom skin over Android 7.1.2. Vivo’s Funtouch OS 3.2 (on top of Android 7.1.2) delivers great software experience. Split view, a standard feature in Android now, has been available for a while. And Vivo’s seamless implementation makes it a very strong case to utilise this feature on this device.
Additional battery saving feature is also very helpful and can help users monitor background battery usage whenever they want. You also get a settings menu that shows you the amount of power consumed by specific background applications and toggles to disable their background processes as well. This is quite handy and cool!
Camera Performance – Superb Results
While I was reviewing this device in Mumbai – it offered great experience in daylight and evening, night times. This offering from Vivo has made a decent impression for itself in all conditions. Here are some samples of the pictures I took while in Mumbai.
The phone features a 24 MP f/2.0 front camera and a 16 MP f/2.0 rear camera. There is no doubt that selfies are a huge advantage with this device. And yes, this device delivers greatly on selfies.
The selfies takes from this device are quite impressive. The front camera supports autofocus, this means that you can get great results, with minimum effort. HDR and some “beautifications” modes are also supported in this device.
With this device, Vivo has surely taken the selfie benchmark to the next level. Priced at INR 21990 – Vivo V7 Plus is a great choice for those who look for selfie perfection.
Its 24 MP selfie camera, 18:9 display, clubbed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset is ideal to power up great user experience. This smartphone is sure to give a huge boost to Vivo sales in India.
