edotco, Huawei pilot multi operator Small Cells solution

edotco Malaysia and Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd have announced the world’s first ever multi operator, multi technology indoor solution that will be capable of improving data coverage and throughput speed by up to four times for all Mobile Network Operators in Malaysia.

This in-building solution will enhance the mobile user experiences of the thousands of commuters who pass through the concourse of Station Sentral Kuala Lumpur (KL Sentral) daily.

This landmark next generation telecommunications infrastructure will be installed in two strategic locations at the ground floor of KL Sentral and have colocation capabilities for multiple mobile network operators (MNOs).

The solutions are being integrated and optimised to go live in the third quarter of 2018, and is a significant landmark move towards making multi technology solutions that are 5G ready a reality in Malaysia.
